About bloomstem

We took six products off the shelf

What was left is the one people reordered without being asked.

Bloomstem started the way most hemp brands start: with a catalogue. Oils in three strengths, gummies, an isolate tincture, a roll-on, a starter pack that bundled things together because nobody could decide what to buy first. It looked like a business. It behaved like a warehouse.

When we read the reorder data, one line stood out. People who bought the salve came back for the salve. People who bought everything else mostly bought it once. So we discontinued the rest, refunded the standing subscriptions, and spent the year on a single formula.

What changed in the formula

We cut the ingredient list from nineteen to nine. Out went the synthetic fragrance, the two thickeners doing the same job, and the tube — a balm this dense pushes badly through a tube and you waste a third of it. In came a wider screw-top tin, a higher shea fraction, and a broad-spectrum extract with the THC removed rather than a full-spectrum one.

That last decision cost us something. Full-spectrum is easier to market. But a THC-free extract means the product is non-intoxicating by construction, it can be sold in every state we ship to, and the certificate says non-detect rather than “under the legal limit.”

How it's made

Small batches in the United States, in a cosmetic-GMP facility. Beeswax and butters are melted, the oils and extract go in below 70°C so the plant oils aren't damaged, and the batch is poured warm and left to set in the tin overnight. Nothing is filled until the lab results come back.

What we won't do

We don't run before-and-after photos. We don't use the word “clinically” unless there is a clinic involved. We don't publish a review count we can't tie to a verified order.

This is a cosmetic. It's a well-made one, from ingredients we're happy to list in full, and that's the entire pitch.

Start with the 250 mg if it's your first. Most people move up on the second order.
